Privacy Policy — BC Class 5&7

Effective date: 2026-10-16

Provider: an individual developer in British Columbia, Canada. Contact: support@vozai.com (write to us for the developer's legal name and mailing address).

On Android, the app can be installed from Google Play (“the Google Play version”) or downloaded from our website (“the website version”).

1. What we collect

  • You can use the app without an account. It does not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts or photos, it shows no ads, and it uses no third-party analytics tools. If you do not sign in, your answers and study progress are stored only on your device. If you sign in, they are also stored on your account (see below). To redeem a code or buy a subscription in the app, you must be signed in.
  • You need an account to use the learning area on our website (bcclass.vozai.com/learn/app/), including its free questions. You can also sign in to the app (version 0.5.0 or later) with the same account. The website version of the app signs you in with an email code only. For an account we keep your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID; we do not keep your name or photo from Google. We also keep a randomly generated purchase ID, the codes you redeemed on your account, and your study records (each answer with its question, time and result, your wrong-answer book and your mock exams), so that they appear on every device, in the app or on the website, that you sign in on. Records you made in the app before you signed in are added to your account when you sign in. A cookie keeps you signed in on the website. The app keeps you signed in on your phone until you sign out, or until 30 days after it last connected to our servers while you were signed in; using the app offline does not sign you out.
  • To sign you in by email, we send a code through Alibaba Cloud Enterprise Mail. We store a keyed hash of the code and of your email address, not the code itself. To limit sign-in attempts we count them by that hash of your email address and by the network part of your IP address (the first three numbers of an IPv4 address, or the first half of an IPv6 address).
  • When the app goes online (to download content, check for updates, sign in, sync your study records or redeem a code), our servers and service providers receive your IP address, the app version and where the app was installed from. When it downloads paid content, the app also sends your sign-in session (or, in versions older than 0.5.0, a redemption credential or a purchase ID) to confirm that you have unlocked it.
  • We receive the following only when you submit it: question error reports (the question ID, the kind of problem, the language, the app version, your phone model and system version, and, if you choose, a record of recent failed updates); and the text you write in feedback. When you are signed in, the report carries your account number. Please do not put personal information in feedback.
  • When the app or the learning area on our website crashes, it sends a crash report through Sentry: technical details about the error and the device or browser, without your IP address. A report from the learning area also carries your account number when you are signed in, and the word “shared” when you are not; a report from the app carries neither.
  • In the Google Play version, in-app purchases are paid through Google Play, and RevenueCat keeps track of purchases using a randomly generated purchase ID. Because you must be signed in to buy, RevenueCat keeps the purchase under your account's purchase ID, so it also unlocks the learning area. In the website version, you subscribe inside the app: the app opens our checkout page in a window within the app, and you pay there. On our website and in that window, purchases are paid through a checkout that RevenueCat runs with Stripe, and RevenueCat keeps track of them under a randomly generated purchase ID. RevenueCat and Stripe receive the email address you enter at checkout and the address details used to work out tax. Payment details go to Stripe; we never receive them.
  • To open the checkout window already signed in to your account, the website version asks our server for a one-time code. The code is kept only in the server's memory, works once, expires after 60 seconds, and is not written to our logs or to disk.

2. What we use it for

To provide and update the study content, sign you in, keep your study records the same on every device you sign in on, in the app and on the website, confirm unlocks, correct questions, fix faults, handle purchases and refunds, send redemption codes and reply to your messages. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.

3. Who receives it and where it is stored

Service providers that process data for us: Alibaba Cloud (the servers that run the service and hold accounts and study records), Cloudflare (domain name resolution, website access, some content downloads, backup storage, and the Turnstile check that you are not a bot when you sign in), Sentry (crash and error reports), RevenueCat (purchase records) and Alibaba Cloud Enterprise Mail (sign-in codes). Stripe takes payments on the website, Google Play takes payments in the Google Play version, and Google runs “Sign in with Google”; each of them does so under its own privacy policy.

This data is stored and processed in the United States and is subject to US law, including the possibility of lawful access by law enforcement there. This notice is required by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

4. How long we keep it

  • Feedback text: deleted after 365 days.
  • Question error reports and redemption records: kept indefinitely.
  • Purchase and payment records at RevenueCat and Stripe are kept as financial records.
  • Accounts and their study records: kept until you delete the account. We do not delete accounts for being unused. Records you make in the app while signed out stay on your device until you sign in, when they are added to your account. When you sign out of the app, or your sign-in expires, that account's records stay on the phone, hidden, until you sign in to that account again or delete the app. If that account is deleted, those hidden records are deleted from the phone too, once the phone goes online.
  • Backups: data you delete may remain in a backup, and backups are kept for up to 90 days.
  • Sign-in codes are valid for 10 minutes and deleted within a day after that. A sign-in session is deleted when you sign out, or within a day after it ends: 30 days after the learning area or the app last connected to our servers while you were signed in.
  • Sign-in attempt counts, including the network part of your IP address: deleted within a day.
  • Our operating statistics are daily totals and hold nothing about any one person.

5. What you can do

  • If you do not submit them, no error report and no feedback is sent.
  • Deleting the app deletes the data on your device but does not delete your account or the records stored on it, and does not cancel a subscription; a copy may remain in your device's system backup (iCloud, Google, etc.), which the backup provider manages.
  • You can delete your account on its account page, in the learning area or in the app's settings. Deleting the account deletes it for every site that uses vozai.com, not only this one. It first stops the renewal of any subscription that account bought on the website; the time left is forfeited and not refunded. If the account has a subscription bought through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play first: we cannot cancel it for you, and the account cannot be deleted until its renewal has been cancelled. Any time left on it can no longer be used once the account is deleted. Deleting then removes your study records, sign-in methods and mock exams on every site. We keep the records of redeemed codes, and the error reports and feedback, as evidence; those you sent while signed in carry your account number. We also keep the account's purchase ID and a placeholder account, which we use to look up payments at RevenueCat and Stripe. Deleted data may remain in backups (see section 4). Error details already sent to Sentry are not deleted separately; Sentry keeps them under its own settings. If you delete your account while the app is still signed in to it on a phone, the app signs out the next time it goes online and removes that account's records from the phone.
  • To ask what personal information we hold about you, or for any other request, write to support@vozai.com.

6. Children

This app is not directed at children under 13.
