Traffic circles and roundabouts
ICBC's driving guide: Rules of the road
They are not the same thing. Traffic circles are small and mostly found in residential neighbourhoods; roundabouts are larger and may have more than one lane.
Traffic circle:
- Slow down on approach.
- Obey any posted sign — yield or stop. With no sign, treat it as an uncontrolled intersection.
